Frequently Asked Questions

We answer e-mails almost every day, and answer many questions time and time again. Please see most of the common questions that we answer in the faq. If your question is not answered here, please contact us!

Can I use the Champion to grind nuts with the blank plate in? I would like to mill dry grains for flour to be used in pancakes, waffles, muffins and any good recipes I can get my hands on. May be even breads. Although I'm leaning much more to sprouted breads. I would also like to mush up raw foods to be eaten. Like carrots, turnips, daikon, and others. What about soaked grains?

Yes, you can put nuts through the champion to make nut butters with the blank plate in. Dry grains for pancakes and waffles, muffins and the such can be made with the grain mill attachment. For sprouted (wet grains) you should use the blank plate. if a finer consistency is desired, you can run it through twice. The champion is great for mushing up foods (with the blank plate) - the blank plate is sure handy! Some people think about "milling" soaked (sprouted grains) it wont work in the champion grain mill (its designed for dry grains).. but can be done with the blank plate that is included with the Champion Juicer.
